The weekend in Asheville, NC is always full of electricity and anticipation because something is always happening, always someone busking!

Street Performing or Busking is the practice of performing arts in public places, for gratuities, which are generally in the form of money. People engaging in this practice are called buskers, street performers, street musicians, minstrels, or troubadours.

FEED AND SEED is a great escape for Friday or Saturday night with the character of Old Time Appalachia.
Street Musicians performing Asheville have been discovered and performed at The Feed and Seed just 20 minutes south of Pack Square on Hwy 25. Friday starting at 7:30 pm and Saturday usually some excitement starting around 6. It’s free admission, the musicians are paid by tips.

Tipping is by no means required although gratuities are appreciated as most of the professional quality musicians and performers are working musicians. That means performing is their form of income.
Weather and temperature are some factors minstrels contend with, winter months can be compromising. Many troubadours will move toward warmer climate areas.
